E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations for new and existing patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide psychopharmacologic treatment and medication management.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and primary care providers.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medications, and treatment options.
Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
E D U C A T I O N Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program required.
Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice required.
E X P E R I E N C E One to three (1-3) years of experience directly related to position and responsibilities preferred.
Familiarity with treating patients with mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and substance use.
Experience with diverse populations including adults, adolescents, or children.
C R E D E N T I A L S Must have a current, valid Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Wyoming Board of Nursing.
Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Must have current, valid Wyoming Controlled Substance Registration and must be in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
Must have a current, valid DEA Registration, and must be in good standing with the DEA.
Must have current, valid, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 60 days of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment with IMH.

Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively with the Behavioral Health Services staff and other departments.
Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate effective listening skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.
Possess exceptional problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
Ability to learn new computer software programs.
Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
