Job Description
We are a dynamic and innovative educational institution focused on empowering students to take control of their learning and navigate the path toward their future goals. As a forward-thinking public charter school, we are proud to offer an educational option that fosters opportunity and choice for all families in the St. Louis area. Since opening our doors in 2022, we've been committed to providing a nurturing and academically rigorous environment for K-4 students in the Normandy area. We are building a dedicated team of educators who are passionate about growing students' leadership potential in a supportive and culturally relevant learning environment.
As a teacher, you will be more than an educator—you will be a leader, helping shape the blueprint for educational excellence in the St. Louis area. We believe in the power of professional growth and offer comprehensive support to help you thrive. Each year begins with 3.5 weeks of professional development in the summer, followed by continuous learning and development throughout the school year. Our mission is clear: to ensure our students receive the best possible education, and we know this requires a commitment to planning, practice, feedback, and ongoing improvement.
We are not stepping into an established school—we are building one. The work will be challenging, but it will be immensely rewarding.
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
Strong belief that all students can succeed, with high expectations for every child's potential.
Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
A growth mindset: eagerness to learn and improve, using data and feedback to drive progress.
A collaborative spirit, with a focus on teamwork and uplifting colleagues.
Proactive, change-driven attitude, with the ability to create plans, take initiative, and follow through.
Experience working with children and a commitment to nurturing their potential.
Missouri teaching certificate preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Internalize and deliver high-quality instruction using provided curricula to ensure student success.
Prepare and customize supplemental resources to deepen students' understanding of the content.
Implement and maintain school-wide and classroom routines to foster a positive and healthy learning environment.
Inspire and motivate students to meet behavioral and academic expectations with clear, consistent guidelines.
Regularly analyze student performance, adjust lesson plans, and create strategies to address learning gaps.
Maintain open, regular communication with families to ensure alignment between school and home expectations.
What We Offer:
Competitive starting salaries ranging from $50,000 to $70,000, along with comprehensive benefits and membership in Missouri's PSRS/PEERS system.
Weekly dedicated time for remote planning and preparation to ensure a balanced workload.
Work-free wellness days and professional development days throughout the year.
Extended blocks for deep lesson planning and preparation to ensure high-quality instruction.
1:1 weekly coaching cycles, with a strong focus on your personal and professional growth.
Leadership and career advancement opportunities, including mentorship and tailored career planning.
Access to a robust, highly rated base curriculum with the flexibility to incorporate your own innovative ideas and strategies.
A manageable workload with a limit of 1-2 content areas per teacher.
We are looking for passionate, driven educators to join us on this exciting journey. If you're ready to make an impact and grow alongside a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you!
